Vigo

Today, the cruise will journey into the natural harbour of Ria de Vigo. Funchal

Las Palmas is Gran Canaria’s principal port. Wander the palm-fringed squares and cobbled streets of Vegueta, the port's old town, immerse yourself in the bustle of modern Puerto de la Luz or explore the rugged landscape of Pico de las Nieves or the pristine sand dunes of Maspalomas.

Casablanca

Casablanca is forever associated with the eponymous film starring Humphrey Bogart. Much of the city is now startlingly modern, but you'll find traditional life and traces of its long history in the medina and the gigantic Hassan II Mosque. Visit the wonderful beaches and make the most of the designer shopping, or perhaps go to Marrakech to explore the tiny stores, alleys and hidden courtyards of the souks, and its vast, bustling square, the Djemaa El Fna.

Gibraltar

A call in Gibraltar brings a first real taste of home. Wander past familiar British shops on Main Street, or perhaps take the cable car to the top of the Rock for incredible views across the Straits to Africa while keeping an eye out for the famous Barbary apes.

Lisbon

The Portuguese capital, Lisbon, is where the great explorers sailed to the New World. Leixoes

The Portuguese port of Leixoes offers the opportunity to explore historic Porto. Famed the world over for its port wine, Porto is perched on the granite cliffs above the River Douro, the two banks linked by some vertigo-inducing bridges. Head into the Ribeira district to visit one of the wine lodges for which the city is world-renowned.
